About Me

I'm Laura, a photographer, writer, and traveler drawn to the kinds of stories that unfold slowly.

I was born in Bogotá, Colombia, and moved to Los Angeles at 17. Since then, I’ve lived in bustling cities, quiet border towns, beachside cities, and places that stayed with me long after I left. My work in journalism, marketing and public relations taught me how to pay attention to language, people and everything just beneath the surface. Photography became another way to listen.

I’ve traveled to 38 countries with a camera over my shoulder and curiosity as my guide. I don’t take photos to document everything. I do it to remember how it felt to be there. A certain kind of light. A pause in a crowded street. A stranger’s gesture that says everything without needing words.

I’m drawn to softness, to quiet confidence, to whatever holds truth and beauty at the same time. My photos are not about perfection. They are about presence.

This space is where I gather what I’ve seen, what I’ve felt, and what I don’t want to forget. Thank you for spending time here.
